Yeti – One of my favourite canteens

A couple of years ago, I went to an opening exhibition in an alternative venue in the center. In the courtyard, a few tables and a smiling guy with some very tasteful food. And… that’s how I met Maxime. I’d heard about him because he opened one of the newest, trendiest foody places and we have a friend in common. The little soup I enjoyed that day made me understand why everyone was talking about him and his canteen.

Months later, here I am spending my summer in Berlin and Maxime is also in town. So we met a couple of times, each time involving food and his passionate quest for great ideas involving the best products…

So, when I go to Yeti, I know that everything I’ll order comes from long researches he has done to find the best producers and that he prepares with recipes he constantly tries with his team to surprise us!

One of Maxime’s latest experiments is the Naan, a very basic – and delicious – Indian bread, that he somehow upgrades by giving us the choice of various fresh toppings.

Until recently Yeti was more a breakfast and brunch place, but now they also open in the evenings (from Thursday to Saturday). It’s becoming the perfect choice when you want to eat something good and nourishing to give you the energy to dance all night long…
