Ai is the kind of small restaurant that leaves you with the impression that it was made by friends for friends. Not just any kind of friends, but those who, first of all, love good food, mainly of Asian inspiration. And breakfast.
Actually, the owners have this habit of inviting two friends to be waiters for a day at Ai. Which I find lovely.
Sushi is usually not very accessible in Bucharest. But Ai is an exception. And a very tasty and generous one. Also, it’s one of the few places in the city that serves Eggs Benedict (with salmon or prosciutto). You can also get Teriyaki, noodles, miso, tartar and salads. Overall, the menu is very intriguing.
I really recommend their website, since it is visually playful and gives you a better sense of what Ai has to offer.
Last but not least, Ai is within walking distance from Piața Victoriei, located in one of the nicest and fanciest neighborhoods in the city, Dorobanți, not far from Herăstrău Park.
So many reasons to visit, right?
