If you’re in the mood for modern art & also for a place where cool and vintage atmospheres blend, then you have to go to Imbold, Galeria. The gallery is situated at the ground floor of an old house and it’s full of surprising decorative details: from lamps made out of buckets, to vintage suitcases, a megaphone, old coloured iMacs, wooden tables with coloured chairs, old milk bottles and the list can go on and on.
Imbold, Galeria consists of 4 rooms: the main one where you have the “reception” of the galeria, to the left of the reception is a room where you can admire the current exhibition, which can consist of either paintings, sculptures, industrial design, motion video or illustrations. This summer’s exhibition is an art installation of a living room and kitchen decorated like in the communist era. To the right of the “reception”, there are two smaller rooms with brick walls and with a view over the courtyard. Of course, the bathroom was not left undecorated, it’s in the same amazing style as of the rest of the house – I’ll just tell you that the sink is a reused metal bucket.
At the first floor, or actually in the attic of the house, you have the Acuarela bar and during summertime their cozy terrace is definitely worth trying out.
