Nowadays, there are so many burger places in Bucharest, but this one is pretty special: very urban, quite artsy, tasty and generous.
Even if I’m a vegetarian and there’s usually just one vegetarian burger in the menu, I must admit I find Switch.eat quite creative in terms of burgers which, by the way, come with really good homemade fries or wedges, coleslaw salad and a wide selection of dips. If you’re a meat lover, you can get chicken, lamb or beef burgers and the veggie one includes halloumi, mushrooms with feta, rucola and red onions.
There’s also a very special burger of the week, soups, salads, steaks, ribs and sandwiches and the drinks selection is very good.
Switch.eat is not far from the city center. And it’s definitely worth the half an hour walk from Piața Universității, especially on a not-so-lazy Sunday. It’s also very close to an interesting historical building called Foișorul de Foc, a former water tower.
