When rambling around Bucharest city center, don’t miss the Armenian neighbourhood. Even if it isn’t what it used to be, nowadays the neighbourhood is a peaceful place which offers stunning views of old houses. Many abandoned houses can be found. Looking at them, use your imagination and think of the parties which took place and the people who used to live there. I often enjoy walking in the Armenian neighbourhood and I totally love the architecture and the unitary sight. The Haunted House, as I like to call it, has been left aside, abandoned, for many years now. It is quite intriguing why this happened and I don’t have an answer, yet. It can be found on Inocentei street and it is pretty easy to reach. The house has an imposing entrance as this was the way they used to build them but the interior isn’t as big as you might think. I highly recommend visiting the Armenian Neighbourhood in the evenings or even better at night. It is a safe place and you will find a very good Chinese restaurant ‘Orasul Interzis’, of which I will write in a future post. Enjoy the Armenian Neighbourhood. Details about this spot (Show on map)

I must say that once, even if it is illegal, I went inside. It was at night and I didn’t go alone. The entire experience is pretty creepy but worthwhile. As I said before, the house has been abandoned for many years. Even so, keep in mind that trespassing is illegal.
