This small shop borrows its entire spirit from a hippie van.
It exhibits one of the prettiest and friendliest venue designs in Bucharest, making you feel more liberated from the very second you step inside. One of the reasons for that is the fact that it is very green, with a few splashes of color on the sides.
There’s two of them in the city, but I decided to recommend the new location for two reasons: it’s closer to where I work and right next to another one of the small art-house cinemas I like to go to, whose socialist heritage is still very strong, reflected in the architecture of the place, the overall atmosphere and the attitude of the staff. The place it called UNION and my mom used to come here too when she was a student.
So, you can say that there is also an interesting contrast between these two neighbors, one representing the old and the other one the new spirit and face of Bucharest.
VanFruct offers a good selection of seasonal smoothies, the soup of the day and (here comes my favorite part) homemade waffles, with seeds, goat cheese, avocado, salad and also sweet toppings, to eat right there or take away.
Bon appétit!
