One can find several ruin pubs in Budapest – but none of them are as ruined as Anker’t. The place is actually a garden-pub inside an empty house – and empty means totally empty. The walls are bare, the windows and doors have been taken out, so basically it is only brick and holes all around us. From the outside it even looks more like a construction site, because the entrance is under a scaffold.
I really love how the place adjusts to this simplicity – everything is very moderate and minimal: the architectural elements are made from wood without any covering, they have basic tables, chairs and some lampions and industrial lamps.
They have a grill-bar with nice food, and besides just drinking, eating and hanging around, we can also dance; they have parties with underground DJs.
The prices are maybe a bit more expensive than in an average ruin pub, but the place itself is really worth a visit!
