Anyu is a place where I go 2-3 times a month to eat lunch, and I’m still not bored with it. It kind of feels like eating something at home, and this was exactly the owners’ main concept: to create a nice, cosy place and sell healthy and delicious food at an affordable price.
It is a little family business: the grandmother makes the marmalade at home, the mother cooks the food (‘anyu‘ means mum in Hungarian), and the daughter and her friends sell it.
There are at least 2-3 kinds of soups, 6-7 kinds of sandwiches, and 2-3 kinds of cookies every day, and you can also buy quiche or lasagna. My recent favourite is the ‘salad’, where you can choose basically from anything they have in offer that day, and mix it as you like. Yummy!
Here everything is homemade: the marmalade, the soups, the breads, the sauces, etc. I can even have a total mixed sandwich from the ingredients if I like.
