I used to be a hippy, it’s not a secret, and like every hippy in Hungary, I used to shop at Bahia a lot. It was the place to search for colourful, exotic and interesting clothes along with bags, jewellery, shoes, and even blankets – and it still is!
Still a hippy at heart, I go to Bahia nowadays to look for decorations and accessories for my home, like the little lamps you can see in the picture. They also offer an extraordinary amount of different fabrics: Tibetan prayer flags, pillowcases, everything in every color imaginable, with Indian, African, or Far-Eastern ornamentations.
Bahia is also famous because it used to be a cult record publishing company in the nineties, producing the best of Hungary’s underground music. They even had their own stage at Sziget, where there used to be the best concerts of the whole festival. Remember this while you check out their amazing incense varieties and fabrics and jewellery!
