The absolute, single best place in town for coffee. Go for a latte, even if you don’t want to buy books. It’s heaven!

I worked for a while in Budapest, in Devai Utca (accents are probably wrong) which is right around the corner from Lehel Tèr.
I absolutely loved the architecture of this building!
Inside you could buy delicious fresh food, and horrible fast food.
Lovely place!

In darker times – such as shortly after WW2 – this place was very dangerous because of gangs looking for unsuspecting pedestrians to rob. There was a gang in the late 1940s which literally took all the clothes of their victims.
