Now that I live in the lovely area of Rákóczi tér, I’ve started to pay more attention to shops around here and tadaaa… I’ve found my dream place, perfect for someone like me who’s refurbishing a flat and needs (loads) of good coffee!
Cucc (meaning “stuff” in Hungarian) has it all! First it’s a tiny coffee place that serves some of the best coffees in town. Robi knows his business – or rather his passion: good coffee from a Hungarian coffee roaster. While living in Berlin for two years he became familiar with the new wave of coffee culture, and wanted to be part of the movement. He’s indeed blended in the trend that’s spread to Budapest in places such as Fekete (check the Fekete article).
At CUCC you can get a wide range of coffee drinks; a pure espresso, milk variations from cortado to latte, pour over (V60) and other hot drinks like cascara, tea or homemade cocoa.
And not only that, the shop is a mini flea market, full of hundreds of second hand items (feel free to bring your own!): practically everything is for sale! You can be sure you’ll find the unexpected and even exactly what you’re looking for (prices are ridiculously cheap and everything is well presented, check Cucc’s blog/Facebook page). It’s actually also the perfect setting for people who don’t know each other to sit down and start chatting!
Last but not least Robi is also a DJ and mixes here and there in town!
