In Budapest when we go out and our final destination is Kazinczy Street (a very popular street full of pubs in the 7th district) we usually say we’re going to the Bermuda Triangle.
Why? Because there are 3 very ‘dangerous’ places to lose your mind & sobriety. There’s 400, Ellátó Garden and across the street is Mika Tivadar Bar (check the article). So when you mention the triangle, everyone knows you will visit these spots and probably get wasted.
Ellátó Garden is a cool outdoor ruin pub with the friendliest staff ever. A mix of locals and tourists of all ages gather in this garden for its casual vibe. The place is usually busy, you may have to wait for your drink, but you will still be served quickly. When hunger comes you can try their Mexican taquiera.
In this hedonistic open-air pub you can easily spend the whole night. The space is huge, consist a bar and a playing room where, for a change, you can play billiard.
Those who come for the music can enjoy unplugged concerts and DJ’s, but art shows (theater or circus), and occasionally kids programs, are also held here.
If you are in Budapest it is worth a visit and I beg you to check if they’re organizing their chili eating contest then, which are usually very funny and entertaining.
