La Nube means ‘cloud’ in Spanish, and the name says a lot about the place: when I come here even on the busiest day, I can calm down and just have fun.
It was established by a young Hungarian-Spanish couple, who came back from China with their children to live in Hungary again and fulfill their dreams. They used their specials skills: the husband makes the delicious tapas, sandwiches and salmorejo in the kitchen, and they decorated the place themselves with a giant gray cloud on one of the walls, and lots of pink and turquoise. It has a really unique atmosphere with the tonette chairs in bright colours, the happy service, wonderful cookies and the nice little objects all around.
When I go there, I usually choose the lunch menu: I get a salmorejo soup, which is actually a cold tomato-garlic-olive oil-vinegar turmix, a really creamy and tasty dish. As a second dish I can choose a tapa, and I also get some mint tea and salad.
La Nube is really child-friendly: there is a whole corner with lots of toys, crayons and books for them, but there are some activities also for adults: they have more and more funny designer stuff on offer, and we can also choose a book to read from their own bookcase.
