Lotz terem – The MUST coffee house!

I was just amazed when I got a peek from the entrance of Lotz terem. The room is a masterpiece built in neo renaissance style. The walls were painted by the famous Hungarian Árpád Feszty. Live piano music takes you back in time and you can enjoy this on a superb and convenient leather sofa.

They run a great coffee shop with some easy dishes like salads and a great assortment of puddings. You can also have a glass of fine Hungarian wine. I felt like time had stopped around me, the sounds of a great symphony by Liszt, or Bartók, makes you feel like you’re drinking your coffee in a 1910 film.

The drinks and food are a little pricey but the environment makes you forget this for sure. I walk along Andrassy avenue day by day but I have never seen this gem inside PÁRISI Nagy Áruház advertised before. The historical market building now operates as an Alexandra book shop, go through this to the first floor where you will find the most stylish coffee house, Lotz Terem (Book café), ever from the previous century.
