If you don’t already know tapas, you should try it, the sooner the better. As the homepage of Pata Negra explains,”Tapas are a variety of Spanish appetizers”. But it’s so much more: the possibility to try several dishes in small portions, and food to please everyone, since you have the choice between a lot of vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free dishes.
It might sound funny to recommend a Spanish restaurant in Budapest, but Pata Negra really is my favorite place to eat! The waiters are really nice and will help you with your order, and explain what tapas is, what the different kinds are, and even how many tapas you should order based on how hungry you are and your preferences.
Pata Negra’s strong point is that they offer exclusive things like tiger prawn and duck liver (both exquisite), but also dishes more on a budget, like mushrooms with bacon and cream, all made in a special Spanish kind of way. The trick is to mix and try different things and to eat a lot – you had better check out this place with your friends so that you can try their tapas choices too!
