Szimpla Berlin Craft Beer Bar is the new member of the developing craft beer network and also something like an old boxing champ: once upon a time it was known as the first ruin pub ever (the predecessor of Szimpla kert, check the Szimpla Kert article), but the trend ran over it so the place had to close after a while.
Since January it is open again, reloaded with German and Hungarian craft beers. The design didn’t change much, but the creators of Élesztő‘s steampunk illusion worked on it a bit; you’ll going to like the beer taps! Just like the Dutch style oil painting hanging in front of the bar which is an actual selfie of the owners. All this completed with the wood makes for a bit of a Western movie scene, mainly when the place is empty – just think of the beer scene in Django!
Szimpla keeps things simple and doesn’t want more than what it is: a calm place where you can grab tasty quality beers – with history.
