Zsiga Bár – A pub in a jewelry box

There is a very friendly dog. His name is Zsiga. Zsiga has a (girl)friend (they are in a complicated relationship). Zsiga has a really friendly bar. The name of the bar is Zsiga.

In Budapest’s eighth district there is a very complicated place (National Museum, National History Museum, Universities, “no-go zones”, dark streets, poor people, wealthy people, etc.) Between the best Hungarian secondary school and the gypsy part of Budapest, behind the Church of St Joseph, next to the old post palace and telephone centre, there is a very nice and friendly bar. It’s got two storeys with a small construction/building in front of it, the kind we use for drinking in camouflage. I’ve had romantic dates and rendez-vous downstairs, great conversations with the bartender or random guys upstairs, and I’ve also just had so many relaxing times watching the street from the aforementioned camouflage construction…

This place has just a few tables – it’s a small jewellery box with a friendly interior.  Sometimes they cook something, and sometimes when I’ve arrived at dinnertime or lunchtime (there’s no exact time), I’ve also eaten with Zsiga’s group/family.
