Spotted by Locals on the road

A few days ago we had to be at a London Stansted airport at about 05:00 to catch a flight. Many people decided to spend the night. The airport was packed!

It was a funny sight to see people trying to catch some sleep under a plastic sheet, or folded very uncomfortably on some small chairs.

There’s a whole sub-culture of Airport sleepers, and even a website devoted to it! See some funny pictures on this Flickr group.

In the beginning of April we have started our “road trip” to meet potential Spotters in 24 cities. The results up until now have exceeded even our own positive expectations! In the cities we’ve visited so far (Antwerp, Brussels, Paris, Barcelona and Lisbon) we’ve selected a very nice mix of enthusiastic Spotters. There’s even waiting lists for Spotters to get started…

Welcome Patty, Maarten-Jan, Thijs, Midja, Sophie, Zeeger, Helene, Alexandre, Nila, Bill, Sonja, Thomas, Harriet , Ianthe, Tanguy, Olivier, Bart, Eva, Dagmar, Renata, Jean-Pierre, Margaret, Maureen, Rita, Pedro, Sonia, Rafael, Erik, Rafael and VerĂ³nica!

This week we started our trip around Europe to meet potential Spotters. We have around 50 meetings set up already, from Athens to Zagreb, and we expect the amount of meetings to keep growing while we’re moving.

Antwerp was our first stop, where we already met some very interesting people! Expected release of the Antwerp blog: May 2008!
