About me
I was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Growing up I had an interest in the performing arts, learning different instruments, singing in choir, and acting in school plays. I attended Lawrence University to study voice. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Theatre Arts which led to my pursuit of performing.

When I returned to the Chicago area after college I moved to the city to seek out various performing opportunities. Throughout my career as a performing artist I have continued studying and performing as an actor (comedic and dramatic), improviser, and singer.

When I’m not taking pictures of my food and writing for Spotted by Locals, I am a marketing and development professional. I also sing with local bands and work on various performing arts projects when opportunities arise.

Why Chicago?
I grew up looking forward to visiting the city of Chicago from the suburbs any chance I could get. Seeing the holiday windows at Marshall Field’s on State Street (now Macy’s) to going to the Taste of Chicago to see free concerts were the experiences that shaped who I am today.

I have always appreciated the different cultural and life experiences you can have throughout the year. In the summer you can root for the White Sox or the Cubs while enjoying a Chicago style hot dog. In the winter you can stay indoors and enjoy performances of the Nutcracker at the Joffrey Ballet and A Christmas Carol at the Goodman Theater.

What I enjoy the most are the people I meet living here. Chicago is the center of the United States and will always welcome those that pass through with a warm Midwestern welcome.
