When you walk into Boarding House the chandeliers alone are worth seeing. The décor throughout is modern without being too pretentious. The first floor’s main fixture is a chandelier made completely out of wine glasses and the second floor’s main fixture is a chandelier made completely out of wine bottles.
The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drink offerings. The first floor restaurant and bar provides lighter options like flat breads, salads, cheese and charcuterie boards. The second floor is the main dining room of the restaurant where the menu features modern American dishes like merguez stuff calamari or hen egg and polenta fries for appetizers and bone in Berkshire pork with roasted butternut squash with mascarpone grits or grilled venison loin with with rutabaga puree, bacon and currents.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert, because they serve up some delightful locally sourced ice creams and hand crafted treats!
