Crosby’s Kitchen is my ol’ reliable of restaurants. It’s actually one of the first restaurants I visited when I moved to Chicago four years ago, and it’s been a go-to ever since. While Crosby’s has a great lunch and dinner menu, you don’t want to miss their weekend brunch.
I personally love their omelets which are served with cheesy mashed potatoes. Now here’s an unpopular opinion: I don’t like potatoes. However, I always make an exception for Crosby’s. If you’re really hungry, start off with some monkey bread or buttermilk biscuits served with jam.
Outdoor seating wraps around the restaurant, so there are plenty of spots to pick from if you want to sit outside. However, get there early on weekends because it gets busy by 10:30 – 11:00. They also have heat lamps for some cooler days in the fall.
Crosby’s Kitchen is very family friendly too if you’re looking for a place that accommodates kids. It’s a staple for all of the families in the Lakeview neighborhood.
