Delilah’s – Divey whiskey bar

So, to say that Delilah’s is a good whiskey bar would be an understatement. I love going to this place for a number of reasons. The atmosphere is very divey which means that it is dark, grimy, and a fantastic place to grab a drink. They have a few televisions that play old movies. There’s a pool table upstairs and they have a tiny stage downstairs. On the stage they host punk rock, rockabilly, and ska but to be honest I’ve never seen anyone play there. Sometimes they also host motorcycle get-togethers. It’s pretty fun if you like old bikes.

The bartenders are so knowledgeable about all the liquor they have there. I like just hanging out and talking to them about all the different types of things they have behind the bar. If you tell them exactly what you like by flavor they will definitely be able to suggest a few things that fit that description.

This is a place that you might think a whole bunch of punk rockers would hang out at but you may be surprised to see that the clientele varies. You may get some dude in a suit sitting right next to another guy in a spiked collar. Sometimes they have tastings of random things. For example I went and found they were having a lambic beer tasting. I was able to try around seven different ones out of thirty. It was really a cool experience. They also have a great absinthe selection.
