So, I’m not originally from Chicago. I’m from the East Coast. And on the East Coast we like fish. I’ve found that most people in the Midwest are not really fans of our fishy friends (fish). I personally love those cold dudes. And if you do like fish I’d totally recommend this place on Lincoln called New England Seafood Company.
They weren’t terribly creative with the name or atmosphere but when your dad owns the boat near Boston and your fish are flown in every morning via Southwest Airlines that is totally forgivable. Their clam chowder is the second best I’ve ever had (the best was in Washington State, walking distance from the coast) which is quite a feat for a landlocked place such as Chicago.
PLEASE try the clam chowder if you like clams. It’s super loaded with clammy goodness.
Please take note that everything else is kinda expensive. But the clam Chowder is worth the trip. Also, if you haven’t had clam chowder before, it’s definitely something to try on a cold or wet day.
