As a lover of Italian food and wines, I had to include another of my favourite Italian restaurants in the city which is authentic and offers simple dishes and beautiful wines. Add garden seating to that and I am magically transported to all the meals that we enjoyed al fresco in my favourite country for vacations. The garden seating area is hidden away at the back of the restaurant with trees providing shade. That coupled with the extremely warm and charming service makes you completely forget that you are in Chicago.
The simply cooked dishes are what will keep you coming back again and again with the extensive wine list as a bonus. The offerings are updated with seasonal dishes added to the menu as seasons change, for example the chestnut flour pasta which comes with wild mushrooms in the autumn menu. It is a spot that anybody can truly enjoy no matter what the occasion is – families, associates out for business dinners, friends, or for a date. It is white tablecloth but the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable.
