Uncommon Ground is near Wrigley Field and is a great place to hang out and enjoy an evening with friends, family or a date. The mission of Uncommon Ground is “Unusual, unexpected, distinctly different, outside or beyond normal experience.” It is a very unique and diverse spot that serves up local and organic comfort food. It is a restaurant and coffee house with live music and open mic nights. They also brew their own beer and are the first certified organic brewery in Illinois.
There are two locations in Chicago and the one on Clark has a rooftop garden (first certified organic roof top farm in Illinois) and an organic sidewalk farm. It was also ranked the greenest restaurant in America in 2012 and 2013. The atmosphere is very cozy with exposed brick walls and cool lighting inside and out. I think the bacon wrapped meatloaf is excellent – I highly recommend it! Stop by for a really nice experience. Also, if you’re near Andersonville, there is another location there.
