Last time they checked, over 20 million passengers ride this bus every year. This means it is the most used bus route in the northern countries. Bus 5C goes from the airport, all the way though inner Copenhagen and out to Husum on the other side.

Yes, it can take you anywhere in Copenhagen – you can be almost sure that it can either take you there itself or get you to the next mode of transport you need. But when you’re considering to take this one it should not be for transportation only. Go on this bus to experience how diverse the little capital is and feel more like a piece in a Tetris puzzle than you have ever felt before. During rush hours (around 07:00 – 09:00 in the morning and again at 15:00 – 18:00 in the evening) the bus is packed and sometimes you just have to wait for the next one. Luckily there is always one at its tail and they leave every 5 minutes or so.

When in Copenhagen, take a ride. Hop on at one of the outer stations, sit back and start people watching. Everyone takes this bus and it is a treat to experience, if you can handle people being close to you. Don’t worry about pickpockets, they focus on touristy places and people are in their own zone here.

Make sure to take it to Nørrebro station or further out – here you’ll go from business to hipster to the bazaars of Copenhagen.
