Rock and roll ain’t dead just yet. Drone is the number one rock, trash, come party out bar in Copenhagen. The place is still fairly new, but it has these DJs coming and smashing every rock band up you know.
Don’t be alarmed – they all have the deepest respect for the fine art of rock. They mix it up in a 60’s acid way and it is only suited for enjoying, not necessarily dancing. On some perfectly random day they have live acts besides the DJs. This is a treat above a lot of experiences in Copenhagen. They don’t have a stage and you don’t have the distance. You are just right there with the people performing. Check Facebook for regular updates, but don’t miss out on a night in this place. Even a DJ can do the trick.
The place is on two floors. In the bar on the ground level floor you can get the cheapest “Golden ladies” (a strong Danish beer) at any venue and sit around. In the basement is where the party happens. They ignore the smoking regulations and you can drink, dance and smoke here. On the left hand from the stairs, you have the toilets. A graffiti painted, dark and, every bit, special experience. It’s unisex and you have doors without a lock on it.
This is a place to go socialize and just talk for over a beer – this is true for the toilets and it is true for the club.
