Husflid Copenhagen (by Kathrine Felland Gunnløgsson)

It’s not too much to call Husflid in Blågårdsgade a crafters paradise. You can find everything you need to sew or make anything. From headbands to pillows and beyond. And everything is so inspirational! Beads, ribbons, fabric, yarn – you’ve got it!

Everything is carefully chosen and oozes of old times and retro style. You can find vintage treasures like badges, bead necklaces and patches to iron on. You can also find a lot of cool vintage clothing for kids, so it’s a great place to find a unique and original present for the little ones in your life. And maybe you can find some cool re-cycled fabric for great christmas presents?

Rikke – the kind lady owner of the shop – also offers cute DIY kits for making your own bracelets and lots more. The back half of the shop is her crafting table where there is always something exiting going on. She has a great eye for putting stuff together and I always love to stop by and get inspired.

Husflid is an old Danish word for craft and arts. It’s becoming more and more popular to make your own stuff and that way get something personal and unique. If you don’t know where to start your project – stop by Husflid and you are well on your way into the world of making. Enjoy!
