Kate’s Joint has been one of my favorite places to eat out since I was a child. It is located in the heart of Nørrebro and therefore ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the city. The single room is small and warm with beautiful and slanting wooden tables and there are no chairs but benches to support the intimate atmosphere. There is a small display of art on the bright orange walls, jazz on the stereo and magazines and newspapers to read if you are dining alone. The restaurant is often filled to the breaking point with locals, chatting about life and the city, while eating of steaming plates. Kate’s dishes are from all over the world but the common denominator is SPICY. African, Indian, Indonesian and Caribbean food can be found on the menu and whether you prefer the delicious Coco Cashew Curry with lamb or a veggie dish with lentils and eggplant you won’t be disappointed if you give Kate responsibility for your dinner! I recommend either wine or one of the sweet ecological fruit drinks to go with the hot food – or maybe a traditional Indian yogurt Lassie. The service can be a bit slow but it pays off because the food is so good. Highly recommendable! Details about this spot (Show on map)
