About me
I came to Copenhagen in the summer of 1995 to start studying Danish at the university. First I lived in Vesterbro, then Østerbro and now I have landed in Amager and plan to stay since I have married a true Amager-local. (They are said to never leave the island). I really love living in Amager – it’s very low key and still close to everything, and a good place to be with kids. We have two sons, Alfred from 2004 who has Aspergers Syndrome (a kind of autism) and August from 2007, and love to show them the beauty of Copenhagen. We use the playgrounds, the zoo and the beach a lot.

I love taking photos and do all kind of crafts. Always keeping my hands busy. I love to scope fleamarkets and thriftshops for craft materials. At one point I had my own personal organizing business, but now I’m looking for something new and exiting to do – hopefully something that can combine my love for culture, craft and Copenhagen.

Why Copenhagen?
I call Copenhagen home and really feels like it has it all. City life, water, nature, shopping, culture, history and so many beautiful buildings. And even though I’m not that fond of rain and winter, the changing seasons also give the city a special kind of life. Everything bloom in spring – trees, flowers and people. And in the winter it’s cosy to stay inside and hide in blankets.

One of my passions is riding my bike through the different neighbourhoods of Copenhagen and taking pictures for my photo blog. The city never has the angry, buzy tone of a really big city, but you can still get lost in the crowds. Oh – and then I love to drink coffee. At cafees, at parks, on the road, and at home. I blog about places I like – places I use regulary or wish I used more often.
