About me
My name is Mette. I am a 30 years old graphic designer living and working in Copenhagen. Originally from Jutland and an eager traveler, I haven’t been a “local” to Copenhagen for more than about 4 years in total. Still, Copenhagen feels like home to me, and for now I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Saying that, I spend most of my time at the moment doing up an old boat to go traveling in again someday – so all of a sudden you might find me spotting good coffee shops on the other side of the Atlantic.

When not working, be it on my boat or in my actual job as a designer, I like to go searching for the many hidden gems of Copenhagen. I like quirky places, good homemade vegetarian food, red wine and a dark well-brewed cup of coffee. I am into books, flee markets, galleries and (house)boats. I enjoy cycling through the city, walking in one of the many parks or along the waterside and cannot live without my weekly dose of yoga, which has become my new passion in the search for a healthy (or at least healthier?) lifestyle.

Why I like Copenhagen?
Copenhagen is a very small big city. It is full of little worlds. Every neighbourhood is like a village with its own culture, customs, food, colours and style. It is laid back, cozy, green and full of water!

This combination of a diverse, cultural city with lots happening and the sea and nature just a short bicycle ride away is to me perfect. One day you can enjoy a fancy dinner in a restaurant and the next be in your wellies doing up a boat and still only have 5 minutes to the nearest coffee. What more can you ask for?!
