Sweet Treat is a lovely little café and shop in Sankt Annæ Gade on Christianshavn. Just around the corner from the canals you will notice it by the garden chars outside on the sidewalk where people usually hang out and enjoy their daily hot coffee or tea.
Inside is nice too, where you cat sit down and relax to some jazz music. It is, however, a very small place and especially in the mornings it gets quite crowded, mainly due to the run of politicians from the Foreign Ministry who start their day with a sweet treat here.
And there are lots of little sweet treats in Sweet Treat, most of them organic too. You will find homemade liquorice, fruit juices, very dark chocolate and French caramels with silly jokes written inside the packaging. At least that’s what they tell you, a non French speaker myself I wouldn’t know – they might be really funny?! They also have a good selection of good teas and coffee.
