There is coffee, there’s really good coffee and then there’s Coffee Collective coffee, and I have become addicted to the latter.
The Coffee Collective has three coffee bars in Copenhagen: the mothership is located in Frederiksberg, there’s one in Torvehallerne (which makes it impossible for me to visit Torvehallerne without getting a coffee), and then there is my local one, in Jægerborggade, which also happens to be the original Coffee Collective coffee house.
These guys are serious about coffee and buy their products following the Direct Trade model.
Entering is like coming into someone’s kitchen and feeling a little bit in the way. Don’t worry, though, you’re not! The decor is kept very simple with wooden furniture designed by Plain Crafts, minimal decoration on the walls, but with power outlets for your laptop of course. You can squeeze down in one of the window sills facing the street, or you can grab a seat outside.
On their website you’ll find the phrase “exceptional coffee experiences” and I am not going to pretend I’m some kind of coffee connoisseur, but they do make the best cappuccino I have ever had. Go taste for yourself.
