Every month, we get an increasing number of e-mails from owners of spots who want our Spotters to write about their spot.
It’s great news more and more restaurants, bars, museums, art-galleries and other spots want to be on Spotted by Locals! But however nice, flattering and inviting these e-mails sometimes are (we’re often invited to free meals, beer or theater performances!) , we always have to disappoint them and tell them we cannot help them…
Our Spotters only write about spots & events they visited and chose themselves. We cannot, and do not want to, influence them. Also, our Spotter guidelines forbid them to get favors in return for writing about a spot. Being objective (or subjective if you wish – it’s their personal opinion!) and impartial is very important to our concept! Many visitors tell us it’s one of our main qualities, and we’d like to keep it that way….
So restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, galleries, museums, theaters and other spots: please keep sending us compliments, but it’s pointless to ask us to include you on our cityblogs… They will find you if you’re good!
