First opened in 1992 in the heart of Ballsbridge, Roly’s Bistro offers an elegant setting for traditional Irish fair. Adjacent to Herbert Park, this Dublin delight offers items for all budgets and appetites. Through one door, you may enter the elegance that Ballsbridge and Roly’s have been known for throughout the city.
Reservations are highly recommended and, in case you did not know this about Dublin, it is often quite difficult to find a free table in a great place on any given Thursday or Friday night, so do plan ahead. Should you enter the other door you will find yourself in the more casual, yet stylish, Café and Bakery where a friendly staff welcomes you to dine in, or to place a takeout order for a picnic in the park. Menu items on this side of Roly’s are more budget friendly and although reservations can be made, these are not necessarily essential.
If you really want to experience everything that Roly’s has to offer here are a few suggestions: One option is for a breakfast at the Café. A cheaper option is to do a take-out lunch for a picnic in the park (yes, I love picnicking), and last, but not least, for the super posh dinner experience, dine in the upstairs restaurant area for a memorable night out in one of Dublin’s top spots. These suggestions can help you experience Roly’s and its elegance no matter how big or small your budget is. Bon Appétit!
