Brother Sister – Coffee lover’s hideout

As some of my previous articles for Spotted by Locals have shown Dublin has in recent years become quite a city of coffee lovers. Quite surprising really considering that the Irish are known for their belief that a cup of tea can solve any problem. Such is their love of a good brew. Taking this recent development to a new level by recently opening not so much a new coffee shop as a coffee space are siblings Touré and Yvonne Kizza.

The space which they have occupied is practically hidden underneath some stairs just inside an entrance to the Powerscourt Townhouse. Brother Sister proves that if the coffee and the service is good enough then who needs an actual shop? If you’re just looking for a quick coffee fix in between your sightseeing and shopping then pop in here for a friendly bit of local banter whilst you wait and perhaps grab a tasty pastry while you’re at it.

Visitors to Dublin are pretty spoilt for choice in this particular part of town when it comes to coffee but these guys are definitely worth popping into for a visit.
