The Greek community in Dublin is small but quite active and as one of my close friends belongs to it, I get early updates in terms of the best authentic food, national events etc. happening in my city. During one of the walks with my Greek friends next to the Royal Canal, she mentioned a new place she has been to a few times and keeps being happy with – and asked if I was in the mood for Greek cuisine right now. I know how critical she is about food from her home country if cooked abroad, and became curious. This is how we landed in EatGreek that very evening. And I keep going back there when I am near, or order food home when I am not. Why? It is relatively cheap for Dublin, the portions are huge, the meals are delicious, the service is quick, the place is cosy – and it is authentic Greek!
The place has a small room in the front when you get in, a few seats outside and a back room fully heated as well. The meals are presented a bit like colorful street food (as in my picture), though with table service, so I could pick straight away what I would like to eat from the visual impression. I ordered grilled halloumi cheese and a portion of moussaka – yum yum yum! I also tasted gyros and beef kokkinisto – so good. Highly recommended place if you are passing by!
