There are now several branches of KC Peaches dotted around Dublin City centre, and they’re handy places to grab great food on the go, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. Describing themselves, pretty appealingly, as “a whole foods shop, cafe and wine cave”, all branches are always super-busy.
The founders of KC Peaches began what was the first wholefoods catering company in Dublin, before branching into cafes. To this day their principles are the same: creating delicious menus of all-natural, additive-free, locally-sourced produce and artisanal foods. Yum.
The cafes are broken into several categories. Firstly, there’s the ‘make-your-own’ lunch-plate service. Running down one side of the cafe is a buffet of hearty, hot main meals, and down the other is a salad bar alongside freshly-squeezed Green Beards juices and sweet treats (‘cheesecake brownie’ is all I’ll say here, they have a five-star patisserie chef, no big deal). These buffet options ensure that you can be well fed even if you’re in a rush. Secondly, there are separate table-service menus for breakfast, lunch and wine-cave tapas, if you wish to linger a little longer. No matter your hunger level, tastes or timeframe, you’ll find something here to suit.
The flagship cafe is on Nassau Street, across the road from Trinity College and handily on the same street that a lot of tour buses stop. The other locations are in similarly convenient locations: Pearse St, Dame St and St. Stephen’s Green. You’d have to go out of your way to miss them!
