Lennox Café Bistro (Kitchen) – Cool and collected

Having grown up in the U.S. I am a sucker for brunches and a great place for brunch can be found in the heart of Portobello, here in Dublin.

Lennox Café Bistro sits in the middle of a residential street and is usually open until 5 in the afternoon, 7 days a week. Common sense would have you guessing that Lennox isn’t very successful because of the hours and location but let me assure you, come here on Saturday or a Sunday, and you will be queuing along the sidewalk, taking an order for a cup of coffee to pass the time.

The wait may be long, but it is absolutely worth every single minute. Why? Because fast and friendly service, absolutely delicious poached eggs and coffee, and anything else you wish to order, in a very fresh yet classic and quaint ambience will shape your brunch experience. Lennox is THE spot to be at if you are a local in the know when it comes to food.

I actually stopped by for quick a bite to eat… because it was a weekday, there were some tables available, and my salad? Stunning. My glass of fresh squeezed OJ? Tall, very full, and ridiculously gratifying.

Order a tea or coffee and it will be served in proper china; just another touch that gives this favorite nook of mine that certain charm.
