This spot you will see only when you specifically search for it, although Pablo Picante seems to be well known among Dublin locals. For a Saturday night, when all the food places are pretty packed, this bar is very enjoyable. Some seats outside make it very nice on a sunny day. They renovated the place recently by adding a bigger area outside, some extra tables on the ground floor and cozy benches on the first floor. You would usually find me on the ground floor, in the little room to the right-hand side of the bar – there on the walls you can read stories by the mysterious Pablo who left Mexico to conquer the US with his exceptional burritos.
Being a student I could enjoy a benefit of ordering a beef burrito with non-spicy salsa and a non-alcoholic drink – all together for € 6.50. The usual price would be the same, but just for a burrito. Very friendly staff responded to my request to leave out the beans (as usual, I never eat them in a burrito!) and gave me my favourite (mmm, tasty!) spinach tortilla.
Moreover, besides soft drinks there are bottled Irish craft beers that you can order with your burrito. My companion ordered a beer with his burrito – it was a proper dinner! Yum!
