It’s a complete cliché, but this really is a little piece of Italy in the centre of Dublin.
Location-wise; it manages to be both off the beaten track yet simultaneously located seconds from the city’s main shopping street. in other words, its setting down a nondescript alleyway means that this is not the sort of eatery that you happen upon out of the blue. Yes, word-of-mouth alone has sustained the ever-popular establishment’s existence down through the years.
Food-wise, I have to admit that I have never made it past the pizzas to try any of other offerings, tantalising as they sound. The pizzas here are just as they should be; large, with a wafer-thin base, generous toppings in proper proportions and, crucially, inexpensive.
Pizza stop is perfect for pleasant, cosy and informal dining. And if it’s credentials as an authentic Italian experience need any further proof, the babble of Italian emanating from surrounding tables should be sufficiently convincing.
