Occasionally in life, you come across people who genuinely love and are passionate about what they do, and the owner of this place, Raffaele, falls into this category.
This tiny, unassuming cafe/bakery is located just around the corner from Dublin’s so-called “Italian quarter,” but for real Italian charm and authenticity, this is the place to go.
The delicious croissants, stuffed focaccias, Italian sweets and other items on offer are freshly baked on the premises each day using carefully chosen, mostly organic, ingredients.
My personal favourite is the focaccia La Siciliana, filled with spinach, cheese and tomato. Straight from the oven, it tastes so good you almost forget about the traffic thundering by down the north quays.
