I’ve lived in Dublin for quite a long time and am a cocktail lover. Only recently I have discovered The Liquor Rooms, even though I might have been passing by Temple Bar a thousand times. Quite a hidden place designed in a vintage style, it has four different areas – “rooms” that can also be rented for private events. This is how I ended up being in The Liquor Rooms. The bar is open after 17:00 and can accommodate a big amount of visitors in its cosy hidden corners. It has a dancing area and I assume that it turns into a club later at night.
When I was looking for reviews of cocktail places in Dublin, many people write about the Vintage Cocktail Club located in the center of Temple Bar, but I honestly found the Liquor Rooms’ cocktails tastier and even slightly cheaper. Do not get me wrong, alcoholic beverages in Ireland are not the cheapest in Europe, and are quite expensive in the town of Dublin. But the atmosphere of Liquor Rooms is just great. I would not recommend going there in the early evening, as in my experience a great mood is found there after 21:00. Some of my personal cocktail recommendations are “Charlie Chaplin”, “The Grand Budapest” and “A quick question”. Check this place out!
