Artisan Roast’s self styled mission is to provide great coffee with great service, and they consistently do on both counts. Their coffee beans come from specially selected estates and collectives.
The roasting is done in house, and these guys certainly take the art of coffee roasting and brewing to the next level. I never knew till I started visiting the shop that espresso grind should rest for a few days after roasting.
The shop is small but the staff are friendly and more than happy to teach you a few thinks about their passion. The seating are at the back of the shop (or The Mooch as it is known) is quirky resembling a Brazilian cofee trading shack. I have never seen cafetieres being used as light fittings before. As a result it is often busy but they do also offer takeaway and sell beans and which can be ground to suit how you like to take your caffeine fix.

They do a wide range of amazing, different flavours of hot chocolate too if you’re not a coffee drinker
I will be sure to check that out. If their hot chocolate is as good as their coffee, could be a winter winner! Thanks
You can see immediately these people are dead serious about coffee, and tasting the coffee confirms this.
It’s obviously a very hip place, although it looks very inconspicuous from the outside.
