The smell of fresh tomatoes and garlic will tempt you into this cool and colourful pizzeria. Civerinos is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to eat; its menu is creative and fresh with a great mix of sourdough pizzas and a few select, incredibly tasty pastas. What more could you want on a cold autumn day than a hot pizza and some sizzling sides?
My favourite part of the menu is the sides – I always judge a place on how unusual their sides are, and for me it’s one of the things that sets this restaurant apart. My absolute favourite thing to eat here is the courgette fries. They are deep fried, salty and sweet vegetable goodness and give you a fresh, juicy bite along with your pizza.
The interior is rustic and creative, with big sharing tables, and really looks the part. It’s just off the Royal Mile, so perfect to pop in before a show at The Monkey Barrel or after a day of sight seeing!
