Although it’s now summer, I still have a massive chocolate addiction and whenever I get cravings for something a bit more interesting than your average chocolate bar, I have the perfect place to go.
Coro Chocolate Cafe is heaven on earth for chocoholics. The menu is, as you can imagine, entirely based around chocolate and has some really unique and inventive things to try. My favourites are the waffles, which come with a whole host of toppings, but I usually go for the cookie jar waffle, where you get 4 different toppings, one on each corner, so if you find it impossible to choose, then this is ideal!
The drinks are luxurious, and here you can really tell the quality of the chocolate. With flavours like chilli or mint and orange, there is plenty of excuses to come back again and again for something new. Plus they do iced chocolates, milkshakes and cold smoothies, perfect for those rare sunny afternoons! The cafe has two locations, one just around the corner from the Botanic Gardens – perfect to pick up an iced chocolate for a sunny walk in the gardens, and the larger one conveniently located on Frederick street, over looking the castle and open late for all your late-night chocolate cravings!
