No8 is a place to spend long sunny days that crawl into the night with a glass of cold fruity cider and a group of friends. It’s a place to sit and forget that Scotland is usually raining and to escape the madness of the old town with a glass of wine. No8 is a bar I only recently discovered and easy to lose as its hidden in the quiet, modern development of Quartermile, just on the edge of the meadows. It’s a fashionable, stylish bar that fits the uber cool, glass and steel architecture it’s surrounded by, but it delivers by offering not only great drinks but fantastic packages and deals depending on the day you go.
Studens get various discounts off food but its the aptly named ‘Big Fat Saturdays’ deal that has well and truly won my heart! It features a huge steak, 4 sides and 2 bottles of wine and makes for a perfect evening of indulging with friends but come for the £10 shake and steak available all day from Sunday to Wednesday if you don’t feel quite up to the challenge.
It’s a young, stylish and fun place to visit and considering its slick interior and location, you don’t need to be a rich business man to eat and drink here – it attracts a varied group of people here just to enjoy the sun, the drinks and most importantly, the awesome food!
