This branch of Peter’s Yard is a relative newcomer to the Stockbridge eating scene (there is another branch to the south of the city centre at Quartermile). However, their experience in all things ‘bakery’ shows with a great range of Scandinavian inspired breads and cakes. Look out for their sourdough crispbreads, great for a picnic at The Botanics nearby!
It is their pizzas that keep me coming back for more. They are made to order using their own artisan doughs. There are only three options – meat, vegetarian or anchovy, but all are delicious. (Available weekends from 17:00.)
If I am not in the mood for pizza, I go for an Artisan Roast espresso and a cardamom bun. It sounds unusual but tastes great. As you would expect they have got some Scandinavian inspired sandwiches and treats, if you stop by for lunch. There are a couple of tables on the pavement outside if you are lucky enough to get a dry day.
