Rhythm Machine is quickly becoming one of my favourite monthly events in Edinburgh. It’s a club night run by students from the Glasgow School of Art and it runs parallel with it’s sister event in Glasgow and actually live streams both nights so you basically get to attend two parties at the same time!
The night attracts a really unique, creative and friendly bunch of people and I feel like it’s a night less about getting really drunk and forgetting what happened the next day and more about coming along in your craziest outfit, having a good ol’ dance and meeting some new, interesting people.
I love that there is a new live art performance every month and often it’s interactive so when you need a break from dancing you can use that time to get involved or just watch something a bit unusual. I feel like the best thing about the night is the mix of music, which can range from techno to funk with the underlying connection being that the music is always upbeat and really makes you move, it certainly won’t bore you!
The night will run for three Saturdays during the Edinburgh Festival in August and should not be missed, whether you’re visiting or you’re at home in Edinburgh, it’s a party to be at!
