The Blue Bear – For brunch fanatics

Who else is a brunch fanatic? Well, I am. Also, I am in love with Edinburgh’s amazing Blue Bear, probably the best place in town to get a delicious Sunday brunch.

The cafe is located in New Town and serves brunches, nutritious lunch as well as mouth-watering slices of cakes, along with afternoon tea and aromatic coffee from Steampunk Coffee. The Ion Magazine voted the Blue Bear as the “Best Cafe” (2014) and so did The Skinny in 2015.

Their eggs benedict are an art piece itself and served with smoked salmon. For anyone who preferred a little sweetness; waffles or homemade granola along with porridge are just a few options served in the cosy cafe. In the kitchen you will only find fresh, local and seasonal goods that are lovingly prepared for the guests.

The place is very kid friendly and even offers a kids menu for the little ones. Since the Blue Bear is fully licensed a glass of wine or a colourful cocktail can be enjoyed here as well. For all the crafty people; once a month the cafe turns into a creative spot for everyone keen on knitting or eager to learn some knitting skills from Knit n’ Knead.
